International all breed show in Brøndby (DK), 15.09.2007

Actually we are currently spending our 2 weeks holiday at the Denish West-Coast. Reeeally by accident there is a double show on offer during this time. Well, the shows are in the East of Denmark. But still, I coule enter some dogs. Would you mind darling?

He would not. Rainer prefers to stay in the summer cottage together with Orla and her daughter Ruby.

So on Saturday morning I travel to Brøndby, not far from Copenhagen. Quite an exiting journey with real stormy weather. Kylie, Nellie and Q are with me.

I am glad the Scotties are judged inside. But also the Brøndby halls are quite dark.

As I am alone this time there are not many pictures. I am also sorry for the quality, unfortunately the external flash did not work.

As the system used on Danish shows is different to the one in Germany, here some explanations:

The classes are similar to ours. I have noted the criteria below the classes names. Additionally is the Senior class for dogs from 7 to 9 years. The Veteran class starts with 10 years.

Like in France the dogs in Chamion class compete for the CACIB but not for the national CAC.

Only 1st price (1. præmie, exellent) dogs are placed. 2nd. price (2. præmie, very good) or lower rated dogs leave the ring directly after being judged on the table.

In addition the judge may assign a "CK" (=Certificate Quality) to several 1st. price dogs in a class. This concerns all classes exept the Puppy class.

The competition for best male/best female is a separate class consisting of all dogs with CK. The best 4 dogs are placed. This also decides about the awarding of CAC/CACIB.

Finally best male and best female compete for best of breed (BIR).

This system will be changed in 2008. As the Danish Kennel Klub will run the World winner show 2010 the rules will be assimilated to the FCI. In future a 1. præmie+CK would match our "exellent". A 1. præmie without CK would be like our "very good", a 2. præmie would be like a "good".

Danish Champions must start in Champion class.

Foreign Champions may start in Champion class.

Dogs in this class do not compete for the national CAC.

Double entry with Senior- and Veteran class are possible.
