Internationale dog show in Leeuwarden (NL), 13.04.2009

Leeuwarden is located in the Frisian part of Holland not far from Heerenveen which is an important centre for speed-skating. Here it seems to be even more water than somewhere else in Holland. Some  boats sailing through the middle of the town appear historic. Every year on Ester Monday the CACIB show is held in Leeuwarden. Last year we had a bad snowstorm on the journey.  This time it was real summer with sun shining the whole day and temperatures over 20°C. Of course she rings were inside but inbetween we could go out to get some sun. Also the shanty choir gave a nice atmosphere.   The Scottie judge is a real breed specialist: Cindy Pettersson from Sweden. A pity that just 11 Scotties were entered for her. I would have expected more international attendance. Cindy Pettersson's "So What" Scottish Terrier are successful on shows and in breeding around the word. Some years ago her Ch. So What Excalibur gained the Great Britain Champion title!
