Sir Darnley's annual review 2005
For us a remarkable year with lots of highlights!
For me the year started with a personal highlight: On 01.01.2005 I started my own business with my "Dog Styling" trimming studio! Finally I had the courage to make this dream come true.
The start of a new period of my life - of course - also is a challenge. At last no longer defenceless part of big consolidated companies. No longer at the mercy of often mysterious decisions and 180° twists of the managements! On the other hand I have learned a lot in these companies. That has given me the commercial equipment to take the chance of my own small business.
I have the great chance to turn my hobby into a profession! Especially I am very pleased with the great response of my courses for show handling and with the nice successes of my students! Even if it sounds overacted: I enjoy every day! More informations about
my trimming studio can be found here: www.dogstyling.de. |
However - the year 2005
also started with a lost battle.
In November 2004 we took Sir Darnley's Kilted Kate into care from her owners and tried to give her back some more quality of life. Regrettably this was only temporarily succeded. on 22.01.2005 we had to let her go for ever. We truly would have loved to give Kate the pleasure of some really nice years. This brave Scottie girl will always have her place in our hearts. |

In April our Ch. Sir Darnley's Nosy Nellie
had her first litter. Father of the puppies is Ch. From Dash Mountain Farm's
Merlin.
This is the 5th. generation in my kennel. Sir Darnley's Principal Prince now lives with Yvette Sacré in Brussels (B) and Sir Darnley's Portia Powderkeg has found her new family Detemple in Kerpen, not far from us. Both have already been shown in puppy class and both got 2 x "very promising". You will find a lot of pictures about their growing up in the gallery of the "P-litter". |

Even if the last years were very successful for the Sir Darnley's, the show season 2005 will be hard to beat!
I have visited 25 shows personally and from 19 shows we came back with the best of breed Scottie and I am specially proud that we can celebrate these succeses with 5 different Sir Darnley's: Mortimer, Magic, Nellie, Orla and Olivia. And not to forget Nugget, who also was best of breed handled by her owner Gerda van Stuivenberg. On 11 shows the Sir Darnley's represented both, best male and best female!
And these are the titles that Sir
Darnley's Scotties won in 2005:
2 x KFT Youth Ch., 3 x German VDH Ch., 2 x German KFT Ch., 2 x International
Ch., 1 x Dutch Ch., 1 x Belgium Ch., 1 x Luxembourg Ch., 1 x European Winner, 1
x Bundes Winner, 2 x German Club Winner!
The Highlights:
Ch.
Sir Darnley's Kiss-Curl Kylie
Kylie mainly was shown in Veteran class. She went best Veteran on the Scottie Special under breed specialist Nellie Taylor (Wildermist, GB). Kylie had 12 puppies in 3 litters. Thereof 4 are already German Champions, 3 others have nearly finshed their title and 2 also are International Champions. Also her grandson From Dash Mountain Farm's Jolly Jock already is German Champion. |

Sincere thanks to all judges for these phantastic results!!! Many thanks of course also to all the busy hands that helped to realise these successes. Above all Helma van Wieringen, Rolf Conrads and Rainer who now is the co-owner from Orla! |
=>Here<= you find a chronic of all shows and results that we have visited in 2005.
=>Here<= are all results according to each dog.
Now we are already
looking forward to the new show season 2006 which will start soon. Nick, Orla
and Olivia are on their way to finish their title in Germany and Portia waits to
start in youth class.
Besides that we surely will be on shows in the surrounding counties.
In the middle of the year we hope for our next litter, even though neither mother nor father are certain.
I wish all Scottie enthusiasts further on to enjoy my site
and of course health and a lot of success in 2006!
