OG Kreis Neuss held their 12th. Terrier show

06.06.2004 in Viersen

We had a lovely show and the whole show team had a lot of fun with it. The organisation went very well, the show ground was the optimum and the catering was delicious - many thanks to Mr. Gnörich and his team from the BSZV! Our local Terrier group and also our judges were very satisfied with the shows process - and we do hope that the exhibitors and visitors also felt comfortable.

We really enjoyed the allover positive response we received. We have already started thinking about a show at the same show ground next year!

But first of all here is the report with a lot of pictures about our show:

This was our well harmonising Team of judges (f. l. t. r.):

Frau Irmgard Vogt

Mr. Bill Browne-Cole

Frau Eva Vogel

But lets start from the beginning:

When Anja Rehm and Kurt Flamang checked the database of all incoming entries, there already has been made a lot of organisational work.

The week before the show:

The catalogues are ready but there is a lot more paperwork to do.

Here the judge books are prepared ...

... also the cards for the tickets ...
... and the folders for the judge reports and the certificates.

This table has already finished and enjoyes to see the others still working.

The Saturday before the show:

Mr. Bill Browne-Cole arrives ... and I just have to show him our native Brown-Coal - in German: Braunkohle! ;-)

Later on we have to prepare the show ground.
Damn - this tent is too small!
Aaaah, now it works!

Kurt Flamang's "sailing-knots"!
The Terrace - the culinary center point of the show - is also prepared at it's best ...

and here the boss is cooking in person!

The landlord of the show ground - Mr. Gnörich - is creating a lovely meal for his team at the evening before the show. Next morning he seduced the exhibitors (and also our show team) with lovely smelling breafast with scrambled eggs and bacon.

Later on a lovely lunch and cakes are offered.

After the preparation of the show ground we meet in the Hotel ...
... and we all were looking forward to the show.
Last briefing in the morning during the already mentioned breakfast.
View over the show ground:

This place is really ideal: Not too big, not too small, plenty of room for parking and nice trees around - this gives a real cosy athmosphare.

And then finally let's start:

The team in ring 1 is complete ...

... and the team in ring 2 as well.
Best catering!

Judge Bill Browne-Cole with perfect "poker-face" ...
... and certain decision.
Frau Irmgard Vogt also has everything under control ...
... Steward Inga Flamang as well.

Decision for the best Kerry Blue Terrier.
Junior handling age-group 1
and the play-off between the winners of both age-groups.
Best of breed of the Westies:

Ivy von der Trabrennbahn, who is later on 3rd. of the low legged Terriers.

The show leader, blindfolded by the sun.
The show ground from a different perspective.
Then in the big ring:

The special competitions were jugdes together.

We started with the best Puppy

That was Scottish Terrier From Dash Mountain Farms Jolly Jock, Owner:Gerda v. Stuivenberg-Bulters (NL)
Best Youth: Cairn Terrier Winston von Moguntia (Owner: Trude Timreck), who is also the Cairns best of breed and later on 4th of the low legged Terriers.
We specially enjoyed that there were 6 Veterans (more than 8 jears of age) in the competition.

It is always nice to see that also older dogs are fit and still in show condition.

Best Veteran went to Scottish Terrier Ch. Mikkel, Owner: Annette Bodgan

The best high legged are judged by Mr. Bill Browne-Cole

Best high legged went to the Border Terrier Jupp von Ufer-Kastell, Owner: Eva Popper

The best low legged are judged by Frau Eva Vogel
Best legged went to Scottish Terrier Robinson B. v. Lewenhagen, Owner: Sascha Breuer.

Best in Show is judged by Frau Vogt and she choosed Scottish Terrier Robinson B. v. Lewenhagen.

Specially remarkable: Both dog and owner today were for the first time in an official show ring!

Congratulations to all winners and placed exhibitors.

All best of breeds and placements in the big ring are to find =>here<=.

It is done!
Only the treasurers are not satisfied because of the relative low entry.
Beside that our "after show briefing" is absolute positive.
So we are already looking forward to our next show!

The date will be published as soon as possible!
