Downtown Shirley Shamrock

16.03.1986 - June 2000

When Darnley was 2 years old,  Shirley came to me as a puppy. She was out of the breeding from Bärbel Bruweleit and became the foundation bitch in my small kennel.

She was a very self-confident lady with Scottish character! She was ever so charming and twisted everybody around her paw but was also the respected boss under the bitches of my Scottie family. Only Darnley was untouchable on top.

Shirley absolutely was a showgirl. For several years she was one of the most successful Scotties in Europe. She gained 34 BOB and went 10 times Best in Show.

Her most valuable results were the international show in Namur (B) 1987 where she went Best in show and the World winner in  Bern (CH) in 1994.

Here she gained the Word Winner and was BOB – at the age of  8 years -  out of 111 entered Scotties. The judge was James Reynold from Canada. After this she was only shown in Veteran class and also here she often went best Veteran in show.

Shirley’s most successful offspring were Ch. + World youth winner Sir Darnley’s April Joke and Ch. + World youth winner Sir Darnley’s Busy Buzzy.
