| An outdoor show
end of April in Denmark with best summer weather - Eine Außenschau
Ende April in Dänemark - just super!
Very confortable: it was allowed to
place the car close to the ring.
Originally we were not prepared for an
outdoor show. I had not red the confirmation properly. But luckily the day
before we picked up a tent ordered by Gerda
van Stuivenberg (From Dash Mountain Farm's, NL). In order to keep our dogs
in the shaddow we decided that this new tent needs a crucial test
immediately. We found it is really great and very handy. Many thanks to
Gerda!
Even more than the day before in
Hillerød the Danish Scottie friends
expressed that they are always ready to help. Several people helped us to
mount and later also to dismount the new tent. Actually all Scottie
exhibitors were standing together helping eachother.
After the Scotties were judged we were
invited by kennel
Nicla for a drink
to celebrate Ch.
Nicla Ras Algheti
who recently finished his Danish Champion title. As far as I could see all
Scottie people were present.
And really amazing:
After the show when all people left the place, nothing remembered that
nearly 80 dogs, their owners and spectators spent the whole day
on a dog show. The lawn was completely clean! It seamed to be a matter of
course for everybody not to leave anything behind.
The system used on Danish shows is
different to the one in Germany.
The classes are similar to ours. I have
noted the criteria below the classes names. Additionally is the Senior class
for dogs from 7 to 9 years. The Veteran class starts with 10 years.
On
DTK Terrier
shows additionally is the Baby class for puppys from 4 to 5 months.
Like in France the dogs in Chamion class
compete for the CACIB but not for the national CAC.
Only 1st price (1. præmie,
exellent)
dogs are placed. 2nd. price (2. præmie,
very good)
or lower rated dogs leave the ring directly after being judged on the table.
In addition the judge may assign a "CK" (=Certificate Quality)
to several 1st. price dogs in a class. This concerns all classes exept the
Puppy class.
