Again I am in Denmark for a long weekend, but not only vor visiting the two perfect organised Terrier shows in Hedensted.

Before the shows I visite Nellies son Sir Darnley's Splendid Spark in his new home with his owners Anne and Thomas Kühl. Between and after the shows I also visite my longtime friend Kirsten Toftkjær and her mother Grethe.

Here Spark shows his home to the Scottie visitors (Nellie, Q und Ruby).

A wonderful weekend, we have a lot of fun! I am very happy that Spark found such a lovely family and I learned many new things about my favourite country.

On Saturday the Scotties are judged by Siv Jernhake from Sweden. She is a real breed specialist. Many successful Scotties came from her kennel "Vendetta's".

Just a few weeks ago Jernhake had the great honour to be invited to judge the Scotties at CRUFTS in England.

Since 2008 the show rules in Denmark has been adjusted to the system in other FCI-countries.

Former "1. præmie + CK" now is equivalent to = exellent = Vorzüglich (V).
Former "1. præmie without CK" now is equivalent to = very good = Sehr gut (Sg).
Former "2. præmie" now is equivalent to = good = Gut (G).

Unfortunately the class for best male or best female has been droped. Formerly here the best 4 out of all males assigned with "CK" were placed.

Now the "exellent 1" assigned dogs from Youth-, Intermediate- and Open Class compete for the CAC. The Champion Class still is reserved for Danish Champions. They still don not compete for CAC.

Also the Senior Class has been droped. In return now the Veteran Class applies from 8 years of age.

Competitors for best of breed Scottie are the CAC dogs, the winners of Champion- and Veteran Class. Additionally between the Youth winners the best Junior Scottie is judged as in Denmark there always is a competition for best Junior in show in the big ring.
