October 2011 Short holiday in England: From Somerset to Wales |
On our way to Somerset we passed Stonehenge. After a looong journey we had two short visits at Scottie breeders. In the evening we arrived at the hotel, south of Bristol. |
Next day we were off to Wales. Liz Bradleys had showed us the nicest route - she was right. This landscape is beautiful and breathtaking! |
Abergavenny Castle, built in 1087! Here you can get a few more informations: http://irenamorgan.users.btopenworld.com/ecastle.htm |
Around the ruins our dogs had a lot of fun. Molehills all over the place. Q did not knew where he should start digging. |
Our next accommodation: Bed and
Breakfast in this wonderful country house in Llwyn Madoc.
It is situated completely out-of-the way, surrounded by sheep-runs and forrest. In front of the house is a big garden with Tennis court and fishpond. On the gras there were pheasants and squirrels. Here we thought we experienced pure British way of live - and we enjoyed it. |
