Holiday for me always means: together with my dogs and - if possible - at the Northsea. Of course likings are different but personally, for me mountains are menacing. I always think that a bigger part of this colossus could hurl into the valley.

And as in Denmark dogs are allowed to use the whole beach, normally every year we go Hennestrand.

Also the out-back is wonderful: Flat or hilly heathland with nice pinewood. Comfortable or cosy - in Danish: "hyggelig"! This is the country, their people and also the houses.

Danish people are very dog-friendly but also have a lot of discipline. Here it is a matter of course to remove the left overs of the dogs. And the funny thing is: Here the German tourists do the same! Everybody is armed with small bags or somehting similar. Very rarely you can find left overs in the dunes or on the beach.

It is wonderful not to be restricted to a "dogbeach". Of course also here dogs have to be taken on the dead during the peak season - there are just too many peogle. I personally prefer to go to Henne Strand during the early or the past season. I have never seen people complaining  about free moving Scotties. But it should be a matter of couse not to leave the dogs poke around and let them disturb the tourists and their children!
